Step 1

What can I make for you?

Pick one to continue.
Step 1 of 5

Let's start with you

Phone number
Pick your country, then the number without the country code.
How did you find me?
Where was that?
Even a rough answer helps me work out what is actually bringing people in.
Step

One quick check

Date of birth
You must be 18 or older. ID is checked at your appointment.
Step 2 of 5

Tell me about the tattoo

Describe your tattoo
Placement on body
Where on your body do you want it?
Roughly how big?
Compare it to something. No measurements needed.
Colour or black and grey?
Is this your first tattoo?
What is your budget?
A rough number is fine. It helps me scope the design to what works for you.
Is this a cover-up or rework?
If yes, please attach clear photos of the existing tattoo on the next step. Cover-ups need a consultation before I can commit to them.
Would you like a consultation?
Consultations run over Zoom or Google Meet and take ten to thirty minutes. I may ask for one anyway if your piece needs it.
Are you comfortable with Beau, the studio dog, in the room?
Beau is my rescue pup and he is usually at the studio. If you would rather he sat this one out, just say so. No hard feelings.
Step

Tell me about the piece

What would you like me to make?
Subject, mood, colours, anything you already have in mind. I will come back to you on the approach and what it should be made in.
Roughly what size?
Framed or unframed?
Is this a one-off original, or will the artwork be reproduced?
An original you keep is a straight commission. Anything reproduced is a licence, priced by where and how long it runs.
Where will it be used, and for how long?
For example: album cover plus tour merch, one year. This is what sets the licence, so a rough answer is fine.
Any date you need it by?
What is your budget?
A range is fine. It tells me what size and level of detail is realistic.
Step

Tell me about the project

What do you need designed?
Pick everything that applies. You can add detail below.
Business or project name
How will it be used?
Where it will appear and whether anything gets sold. Personal use, a shop sign and a merch line are priced differently.
How many concepts do you want to see?
One concept taken through revisions is included. Extra concepts are additional work and priced separately.
What files do you need?
Editable source files mean you can change the artwork yourself, so they are quoted on top of the design fee. I will confirm the format with you.
When do you need it?
Anything under a week means moving other projects around, so a rush fee applies. I will always quote it before starting.
What is your budget?
A range is fine. It tells me what scope is realistic.
Step 3 of 5

Show me your references

Optional, but it helps a lot. Up to three images, 10MB each. Screenshots and phone photos are fine.
Reference 1
Max file size 10MB.

fileuploaded.jpg
Upload failed. Max size for files is 10 MB.

Step 4 of 5

Which days work best for you?
Pick as many as you like. I will confirm exact times when I reply.

Good to know

Before you book

How do I book an appointment?
+

Head to the booking page and fill out the request form. Tell me what you have in mind, where you want it, roughly how big, and attach any reference images you've collected. I'll come back to you by email to talk through the design, timing and cost before anything is confirmed.

Do you take walk-ins, or are you appointment only?
+

Appointment only. I do not take walk-ins.

Send a request through the booking page and I will come back to you by email.

How far in advance should I book?
+

Most people book two to three months out. If you are looking further ahead than that, message me closer to the time and we will sort it then.

Once you send your request, give me up to three days to get everything confirmed. Same-day bookings are rare, but if you need to get in sooner, say so and I will do my best. More often than not I can find you something within the week.

Do I need an in-person consultation?
+

Not always. I read every intake form, and if I think your piece needs a conversation before I start designing, I will ask you for one.

You can also request one yourself. If you would feel better talking it through first, just say so on the booking form.

Consultations are done over Zoom or Google Meet, so you do not need to come to the studio for one.

Where are you located?
+

Gowanus, Brooklyn, just past the canal.

The exact suite can be a little tricky to find the first time, so I keep a highlight on my Instagram that walks you there from the train. Have a look before you set off.

What is the minimum age to get a tattoo?
+

You must be 18 or older. New York State law makes it illegal to tattoo anyone under 18, and there is no version of this where a parent can consent on your behalf.

Bring valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID to your appointment. A driver's license, state ID or passport all work. No ID, no tattoo, no exceptions.
